Origin Pacific Airways operates from its own purpose-built facilities at Nelson Airport. 100% New Zealand owned, Origin Pacific is managed and run by people with extensive knowledge of air travel and proven success in running airline businesses. Origin Pacific has been set up with a long-term view of providing scheduled, charter and freight services.

Our People

It is very common for a company to claim that its strength lies in its people. It is however very uncommon for such a claim to be both as true and appropriate as it is with Origin Pacific. In addition to its co-founders, Origin Pacific has assembled a management team and staff rich in experience and expertise in the airline business.

Our Operation

Origin Pacific's central location and flexible infrastructure allows the airline to offer direct region-to-region services, cutting out many of the stopovers necessary on competing airlines. In addition, Origin Pacific is offering an airline alternative in some regional centres that have not previously had a choice, and choice is what keeps fares low for you.

Air Freight

Origin Pacific's airfreight division operates aircraft on dedicated line haul services for major international and New Zealand companies. These busy aircraft operate day and night, to destinations that suit the requirements of its customers. Subject to loadings, same day freight services are also available on Origin Pacific's scheduled services.

Our Fleet

Origin Pacific operates a fleet of aircraft well suited to New Zealand conditions and to the regional nature of the airlines' activities. Included in the fleet are British Aerospace Jetstream 31, 32 and 41 Airliners (respectively seating 18, 18 and 29 passengers) and also in the 18-seater range, the company flies Fairchild Metroliners

Scheduled Services

The Airline operates scheduled services between major New Zealand centres as shown on the route map. Origin Pacific uses a simplified reservations procedure and fare structure. It employs a committed team of professionals dedicated to ensuring customers receive quality service.

Air Charter

The company was initially launched in 1997 as an air charter service and continues to offer charters tailored to the specific needs of business and groups. As well as offering privacy, reliability, guaranteed promptness and speed, the chartering services also offer convenience and value for money

Origin Pacific currently operates hundreds of flights each week to 9 destinations throughout New Zealand.

As well as scheduled passenger services we offer group travel and charter services to cater for the specific needs of business, sports teams and other groups. As well as privacy, reliability, promptness and speed, charters offer convenience and value for money.
