Dallington, Christchurch number one for home buyers

The small city suburb of Dallington, Christchurch has been announced by realestate.co.nz as the most popular suburb in New Zealand to live.

Dallington beat out some of the more affluent suburbs in New Zealand as the number one suburb for home buyers.

Top Five.

5. Westmere, Auckland. Average sale price $803,676

4. Maori Hill, Dunedin. Average sale price $417,375

3.Cashmere Hills, Christchurch. Average sale price $572,983

2. St Clair, Dunedin. Average sale price $344,738

1. Dallington, Christchurch. Average sale price $317,038

Average sale price is taken over the last 6 months.

Why?

There could be many reasons for the suburb being so sort after.

It is halfway between the beach and the city. There many good schools in the area, from primary to secondary. Close to the popular Palms shopping Mall. The Christchurch Golf Club is close to the area. Houses are still affordable so close to the central city. The houses are mainly Bungalows on good sized sections. Good sized grass and tree lined streets. Little traffic for its proximity to the city.

All these factors say great for the whole family.
