Omarama Rock Formations

Just out of Omarama before you get to the Lindis Pass on the way to Wanaka, Queenstown and the rest of Central Otago there have been strange rock formations forming.

These rock formations are piles of rocks on the side of the road. Some believe they were created by tourists leaving a natural mark on the environment. It could also be like the crop circles and formed by extra terrestrial life forms who arrive at night and pile up rocks to confuse us humans.
