Flu Vaccinations

Influenza is a common aliment in New Zealand. According to recent research undertaken by the National Influenza Institute most New Zealanders think its better to build up immunity than to receive annual vaccinations.

Influenza is a significant public health issue in New Zealand. Each year it has a large impact on our community, with 10-20% of New Zealanders infected. Some of these people become so ill they need hospital care, and a small number die.

Flu jabs are free for New Zealanders 65 and over and those under 65 years of age with various long-term health conditions.

Flu vaccinations may be available to employees with company sponsored wellness programmes. Talk to your employer about this possible option.

The average cost of a flu jab is $NZ 25 per vaccination.
