Community Education
In all cities in New Zealand you can learn just about everything about anything through your local community centres and schools. The could be listed under community education, adult education and recreational education.
Many high schools hold day and night classes in anything from learning to speak Spanish to Scrap booking.
Universities and Polytechnics also provide great community education courses aimed at adults who find the need to find out about many interesting subjects.
The WEA (Workers Educational Association)
WEAs are groups of mainly voluntary workers who come together to ensure that adult New Zealander's have opportunities to engage in information sharing and dialogue about matters of mutual concern. WEAs offer ongoing courses and seminar programmes, forums, discussion groups and support for community initiatives.
The WEA have branches all over NZ and offer courses in many subjects
