Christian Druery Handmade New Zealand Guitars

This New Zealand inspired range of steel string acoustic guitars consist of five basic shapes; Tieke ,Ruru, Kakapo, Matamata, Miromiro and Korimako.

They are all named after birds, endemic to New Zealand.

The guitars are made primarily from Native timbers,including the finest grade quarter-sawn Kauri , beautifully figured 40,000 year old Ancient Kauri,and Heart Rimu,two of the most prized timbers in the world today.

The distinctive Paua shell inlay embellishment features traditional Maori Kowhaiwhai designs showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of New Zealand.

Each guitar is handmade by Luthier Christian Druery, from conceptional design, to careful selection and matching of timbers,through to contsruction.and the highly polished finish.This attention to detail ensures the warm, balanced, high-sustained tone for which these instruments are renowned for.
