Canterbury Conservancy Location: Aoraki/Mt Cook, Westland Tai Poutini National Parks, Southern Alps Access: Copland Valley West Coast of Mt Cook Village, 325 km south west of Christchurch Description: Alpine experience essential. An alpine crossing with crampons and ice axe needed all year. Steep, loose rock, hard ice in summer.
