Vaccination Information
Vaccinations
No vaccinations certificates are required to enter New Zealand. However, if within three weeks of your arrival you should develop any sickness, such as skin rash, fever or chills, diarrhea, vomiting or general illness, then consult a doctor.
Medical & Emergency
All emergency services can be contacted throughout New
Zealand by dialling 111. New Zealand's medical and hospital
services are both public and private but are not free, except
as a result of an accident. Health insurance is strongly
recommended. Check the telephone directory for medical services.
Drugs or pharmaceutical suppliers after normal shopping
hours may be contacted by referring to the urgent pharmacies
listing in the 'Hospitals' section at the front of the phone
directory.
There are no snakes or dangerous animals in New Zealand
apart from the poisonous but rare Katipo spider.
