Bay of Islands

Learn to sail around over 150 Islands take a cruise or enjoy the great sea fishing for oversized Snapper and Kingfish. The area from Doubtless Bay to the Bay of Islands is prime big game fishing territory.

Lake Taupo and Turangi

Lake Taupo is New Zealand's largest lake right in the middle of the North Island. This is the steaming geothermal area of New Zealand. Lake Taupo is known as the recreational fishing capital of NZ. The Trout fishing is superb and you can fly-fish on all the rivers flowing into the lake. Fishing trips and boating tours can be organised from Taupo. Turangi is at the southern end of lake Taupo and has excellent Trout fishing on the Tongariro River.
